Daiso Korea currently uses six fixed price points: KRW 500 · 1,000 · 1,500 · 2,000 · 3,000 · 5,000.
For a traveler, the easiest categories are usually small items with a clear job: pouches, organizers, laundry items, stationery, basic cleaning tools, packing supplies and other inexpensive things you can judge quickly.
When failure would matter: read the material, rating, specification and intended use before buying.
1. What Daiso Is Good For
Daiso is useful when you need an ordinary object without turning it into a major purchase.
Pouches · cable organizers · laundry nets · small containers · packing supplies
First-week setup
Hangers · bathroom supplies · simple storage · cleaning tools · cups · basic utensils · stationery
Browsing
Character collaborations · seasonal items · small lifestyle products · inexpensive discoveries
For students or longer-stay visitors, the low entry price can also be useful during the first week in a dorm or apartment. You can replace an item later if your daily routine shows that you need a stronger or more specialized version.

2. Read the Product by Its Actual Use
A storage basket, charger accessory, cleaning brush and kitchen tool do different jobs. Use the label and the expected job rather than one quality rule for the entire store.
For a simple organizer or consumable cleaning item, the decision may take seconds. For something electrical, load-bearing, precision-based or repeatedly exposed to heat or stress, read the actual specification and use conditions.
Daiso says it operates an ISO 9001-based quality-management system. That does not remove the need to choose the correct product for the job.

3. Daiso Korea Does Not Mean Made in Korea
Asung Daiso says it works directly with thousands of partners across 35 countries. Product origins therefore vary.
If your only requirement is a useful or fun item discovered during a Korea trip, country of manufacture may not matter.
If the gift specifically needs to be Made in Korea, read the country-of-origin label on that product.
4. Beauty and Other Discovery Categories
Beauty is now a substantial Daiso category, with collaborations and low-price formats alongside the store's traditional household assortment.
Its practical appeal is a low entry price when you want to try a small format or browse a collaboration. For deeper brand comparison, shade testing and a specialist beauty environment, use the Olive Young guide instead.

Stationery, seasonal characters, travel accessories and small organization products work in a similar way: the lineup itself changes, so browse the actual shelf rather than relying on a permanent viral Top 10.
5. Check Stock and Keep the Receipt
Daiso states that not every store carries every product. Its current customer-service site provides store-level inventory lookup.
If one exact viral item is the reason for a special trip, check inventory first. For casual browsing, use the branch that already fits your route.
Exchange: generally within two weeks with the receipt, at the purchase store or a nearby directly operated store.
Refund: generally within two weeks with the receipt at the original purchase store.
If you paid by card, Daiso asks customers to bring the payment card as well.
