From September 2026, Seoul's official food-delivery pickup network covers 11 Hangang parks and 17 Delivery Zones (배달존).
If you want fried chicken or another delivered meal beside the Han River, choose the nearest official Delivery Zone, enter it as the delivery destination, and meet the rider there. Then carry the food back to your picnic spot.
Choose the park → find the nearest Delivery Zone → set the delivery address → place the order → meet the rider at the zone
The distinction matters: the picnic spot and the delivery pickup point are usually not the same place. Don't give a rider a random location on the grass and expect the motorcycle to reach you.
Check the Current Delivery Zone for Your Park
Seoul expanded the network in September 2026 from three parks with six pickup points to 11 parks with 17 pickup points.
The official distribution is:

Don't choose a zone simply because it belongs to the correct park. Yeouido has four locations, Ttukseom has three, and Banpo has two. Selecting the wrong one can leave you walking a considerable distance to meet the rider.
Examples of exact pickup locations
At Banpo Hangang Park, the official map distinguishes:

At Ttukseom, the official locations include an upstream pickup point near the park information center and Parking Lot 2, a downstream pickup point near Parking Lot 3, and a temporary delivery zone in Parking Lot 4.
These examples show why it's worth opening the city's actual map before ordering. The numbered zone name is more useful to a delivery rider than a general instruction such as "Banpo Park."
Seoul's Future Hangang Headquarters lists all 17 locations. On the official page, select the delivery-zone name for your park to open its exact position on the city's facility map.
The official page is in Korean. Use your browser's translation function if needed, but keep the Korean name of the chosen zone when entering the delivery address.

Open your delivery app and enter the official Delivery Zone nearest to your picnic area. Then look for restaurants that will deliver to that location.
I would choose the pickup point before choosing the food. It's frustrating to spend several minutes building a chicken order and then discover that the restaurant won't deliver to the park or that the address can't be entered.
Search using the zone's Korean name when possible. For example, at Banpo, look for the specific delivery zone shown on the city's facility map rather than entering only "Han River Park."
Some delivery apps let you position a pin on a map. Others require a searchable address and offer a separate field for instructions to the rider.
Use whichever supported method allows you to identify the official pickup point accurately. If the app can't recognize the zone, don't silently select a nearby restaurant or apartment building unless the actual delivery address is confirmed with the seller or service.

Restaurant availability can change by distance, time, traffic, rider supply and delivery app. A restaurant that delivers to one side of the park may not appear for another zone.

Use the Delivery Zone Name in the Handoff Message
Use the exact zone shown on the official map or in the app. If you are waiting at Banpo Delivery Zone 1, make sure your message doesn't just say "Banpo Hangang Park."
These phrases are useful when you need to confirm the pickup point or communicate with a rider.

When there are several delivery zones, add the zone number or its precise Korean name. For example, 반포 배달존1 identifies Banpo Delivery Zone 1.
Keep the order-status screen available. If your SIM is data-only and can't receive ordinary Korean calls, check whether the service offers in-app messages or another supported contact method.
Don't assume that every rider will use a chat function. Some restaurants and delivery services need a working contact number for problems with directions or the handoff.
If a rider calls and you cannot answer, your saved order number, pickup-zone name and location screen can help you explain the problem to delivery support.
Move to the Delivery Zone Before the Rider Arrives
Watch the estimated delivery time. When the rider is approaching, walk to the pickup point you entered in the order.
Seoul operates these zones to reduce delivery-motorcycle traffic inside parks, where pedestrians and cyclists share the paths. The official instruction is to receive the food at the zone and carry it back to your chosen picnic area.
If you're sitting far from the pickup point, allow enough time to walk there. At a busy park such as Yeouido or Banpo, reaching the correct entrance or parking-lot area can take longer than expected.
When the rider arrives, confirm that the order is yours. Check the restaurant name or order number rather than taking the first similar-looking bag you see.
You don't need to unpack every container beside the motorcycle, but check that you have the main meal and any large additional items before walking away.
The delivery zone is a collection point, not a place to occupy for the entire picnic. Once you have your order, move away so other visitors can receive theirs.

If app verification, payment or restaurant coverage gets in the way, buying food before entering the park can be easier.
Chicken, kimbap, convenience-store meals and other takeaway food work well for a riverside picnic. You can choose the meal in person, pay at the shop and carry it to the park without arranging a delivery handoff.
This is particularly useful when you're traveling without a Korean phone number, visiting a quieter Hangang Park or trying to eat after the usual restaurant rush.
If you have a group, consider what will be easy to carry and share. Boneless chicken, kimbap and dishes packed in secure containers can be simpler than a meal involving several bowls of hot soup.
Check whether the restaurant provides utensils, napkins and a bag suitable for carrying the food. A picnic spot may not have a convenient table or place to wash up.
If bad weather starts or the delivery wait becomes unreasonable, don't feel committed to ordering just because you originally planned a picnic. Nearby takeaway or a regular restaurant can be a better option.

Clear the Food and Packaging When You Leave
A chicken delivery can leave you with more waste than expected: containers, bones, sauce packets, plastic bags, drinks, napkins and leftovers.
Separate leftover food from containers and use the waste facilities and instructions provided at the park. Seoul asks visitors to separate waste appropriately or take it away with them.
Don't leave a delivery bag beside a full bin or on the grass. If the nearest collection point isn't suitable, carry the remaining waste to a proper disposal location.
Chicken bones and hard shells aren't ordinary food waste under Seoul's food-waste sorting standard. Empty containers before recycling them, and follow the instructions posted at the park.
Bring a small spare bag if you're planning to eat away from a convenience store or major park entrance. It makes it easier to carry packaging and leftovers without leaving a mess at your picnic spot.
